Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BlessTalk mobile application and related services (together, the “App”), operated by BlessTalk (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using BlessTalk, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

BlessTalk is intended for users of all ages as a Bible study and spiritual growth tool. If you are under 18, we recommend using the App under parental guidance, and you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and consented to these Terms on your behalf if required by law in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You may also use the App as a Guest with limited features, without creating an account.

2. Description of Service

BlessTalk is a Bible study and spiritual community app for Christians in India, offering features including but not limited to: Bible reading in multiple languages, an AI spiritual companion (“Soul Chat”), Bible quizzes and leaderboards, blessing card creation and sharing, church discovery and directory, church event listings and registration, pastor and church profiles, and premium subscription benefits.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available indefinitely.

3. Acceptable Use

When using BlessTalk, you agree that you will not:

• Impersonate any person, church, or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with a church you do not have authority to represent.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information during a church or pastor verification or claim process.
• Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
• Use the App to send spam, unsolicited promotions, or engage in fundraising or solicitation not expressly sanctioned by BlessTalk.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts, our servers, or systems, or interfere with the App’s normal operation.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated means to extract data from the App beyond normal personal use.
• Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content & Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit to BlessTalk (such as profile information, church schedules, event listings, or Shorts videos you upload as a verified creator). By submitting content, you grant BlessTalk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the App and its sharing features (such as generated blessing card images and public share links) for as long as your content or account remains active.

You are solely responsible for content you submit and confirm that you have the necessary rights to share it. We may remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice.

5. Church & Pastor Profiles, Claims & Verification

BlessTalk maintains a directory of church listings, some of which are seeded from public sources (e.g. Google Places) before being claimed by an authorised representative. A church or pastor may voluntarily complete an identity and ownership verification process, described in our Privacy Policy, to gain administrative control of a listing and/or a verified badge.

• Verification decisions (approval, rejection, or requests for more documentation) are made by BlessTalk administrators at our sole discretion, based on the evidence submitted.
• A verified badge indicates that BlessTalk has reviewed the submitted evidence and found it satisfactory — it is not a guarantee or endorsement of a church’s teachings, practices, or good standing.
• Submitting fraudulent claim or verification evidence, or claiming a church listing you are not authorised to represent, is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination and removal of claim rights.
• We reserve the right to revoke a claim or verified badge at any time if we later determine the underlying evidence was inaccurate or the claimant is no longer authorised.

6. Events & Event Registration

Churches and event organisers may list events on BlessTalk, subject to admin review and approval. Users may register for listed events free of charge; some events may carry a listing fee paid by the organiser (via Razorpay), which is separate from and unrelated to attendee registration.

BlessTalk is a listing and registration platform only. We are not the organiser of user-submitted events and are not responsible for an event’s conduct, cancellation, safety, or any dispute between attendees and organisers. Please verify event details directly with the organiser where possible.

7. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

BlessTalk offers optional premium subscriptions (currently ₹49/month or ₹499/year) providing benefits such as unlimited Soul Chat sessions and extended chat history. Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS), and are subject to those platforms’ respective terms and billing, renewal, and cancellation policies. We do not process or store your card, UPI, or other payment credentials directly for subscriptions.

Event listing fees paid by organisers are processed via Razorpay, a PCI-DSS certified payment gateway, under Razorpay’s own terms of service.

All fees are stated in Indian Rupees (INR) and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the relevant app store’s refund policy.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services including AWS (hosting), Google Gemini AI (Soul Chat), Google Places API (church discovery), Google Sign-In, Razorpay, Google Play Billing, and Apple In-App Purchase. Your use of features powered by these services is also subject to the respective provider’s terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

The BlessTalk name, logo, app design, and underlying software are the property of BlessTalk and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Bible text is sourced from publicly available or licensed translations and remains the property of its respective copyright holders. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App itself, except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

BlessTalk is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular:

• Soul Chat is an AI-generated spiritual companion feature and is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, professional mental health support, or emergency assistance. If you are in crisis, please contact a licensed professional or local emergency services.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of church listings, schedules, or event information submitted by third parties (church admins, event organisers).
• A verified badge reflects our review of submitted documentation and does not constitute a guarantee of a church’s or pastor’s conduct, teachings, or standing.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BlessTalk and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold BlessTalk harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or content you submit, including any fraudulent claim or verification submission.

13. Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the App or request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent verification or claim activity, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. We encourage users to first contact us to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal proceedings.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
